Reading a Tulsi Plant
Rama, Krishna and Vana tulsi are three distinct plants with different chemistry — and different uses.

The tulsi in most Indian courtyards is one of three varieties, and households often keep more than one without distinguishing between them.
Rama tulsi has light green leaves and a mild, sweet aroma. It is the most commonly grown.
Krishna tulsi has purple-tinged leaves and a sharper, peppery note. Higher in eugenol.
Vana tulsi is the wild form, taller and more clove-like.
Our tea blends all three, because each contributes something the others do not.
