Most of what we sell is grown or made by our own community and partner farms in Bundelkhand.
Our maker collectives are run by women. Income goes to the household, not a middleman.
Bilona ghee, stone-ground herbs, natural dyes. Slower, and worth it.
Every ayurvedic and food product carries a batch number, manufacturing date and expiry.
In their words
I grew up watching my grandmother churn curd every morning in a wooden bilona. When she passed, that taste went with her — I tried a dozen brands and none of them came close. The jar I ordered from Asmakam Gram arrived grainy, deep yellow, and smelling exactly the way her kitchen used to. My mother opened it, smelled it, and did not say anything for a while. That is worth more than the price on the label.

VendorI started making soap at home four years ago. I could sell maybe ten bars a week at the local market, and only when there was a fair. When Asmakam Gram listed our collective, the orders came from cities I had never visited — Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi. We now make four hundred bars a week and eleven women work with me. Six of them had no income of their own before this. My daughter is in college now. She wants to study chemistry. She says she will make better soap than me.

CustomerI recently purchased an organic product from Asmakam Gram and really loved the experience. The product felt fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully made. I especially appreciate the idea of supporting local farmers and village communities through everyday shopping. It feels good to know that my purchase is not just about getting a product, but also about supporting the people who make it. I look forward to discovering and trying more products from Asmakam Gram.
